Austin is the capital of the State of Texas and is widely known as the "Live Music Capital of the World" and is consistently ranked as one of the top leisure destinations, places to live, creative cities, and places to practice yoga. With great weather almost year-round, Austin is home to many outdoor festivals and events. During August of 2011, temperatures reached over 100 degrees for 20 days in the month. This year's Women's Retreat will hold yoga classes outside in a covered Pavilion to take advantage of the (hopefully) fiery hot climate. What is too hot for most is perfect for us! We hope you take this opportunity to explore all that Austin has to offer. Find out more about Austin. Barton Creek Resort & Spa is a AAA 4-Diamond Resort & Spa 15 minutes from Downtown Austin (click here for recent reviews and press). With 312 spacious guest rooms and suites, an 11,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness facility, the award-winning Fazio Foothills and Fazio Canyons golf courses, available hourly childcare, and the Three Springs Spa (click to see the full menu), there is sure to be something for everyone!
The 6000 square foot Pavilion is an outdoor, glass door-enclosed space where we will host our Thursday evening Sunset Reception with panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country and where we will hold all of our group meditations and yoga classes. August Texas weather should naturally heat up our yoga classes! |
